Zoho has terrible customer service

ZohoI’m going to detail how Zoho has terrible customer service. This is my review of zoho.

This is about Zoho’s terrible support and now they are ignoring me not just from one department, but every department I need help with.

Zoho mail

I’ve been with zoho mail for over 2 years now I think.

I use Thunderbird and I got zoho’s aliases and paid for 2 different domains.

I never had any problems until about a year ago where Thunderbird would duplicate emails and ping zoho’s email server so much I would be blocked. I now think it’s due to the filtering we created because of the aliases.

The problem stopped for a year, then happened again. It NEVER happens with my domain emails or gmail, only with Zoho mail.

We tried to figure the problem out but it’s happened more in the last 2 weeks and now I have NO email coming through my Thunderbird which means I will miss important emails.

This part I’m not blaming zoho for, but what I am blaming them for is the fact that they REUSE to help me figure out what the problem is. I even asked them to help me tweak the filtering since I think that’s the problem and robotically they just said they aren’t responsible for Thunderbird and then like morons gave me the instructions on how to filter through zoho.

I remember in the past that zoho mail called me to look at the Thunderbird settings, so what I was asking for wasn’t out of the norm.

Then I asked them for a discount because if I were to pay for each email address, it would be like 8-9 email addresses and I can’t afford that.

Zoho mail refused to give me a discount and told me to contact sales which I did on March 30th, 2024, and NO EMAIL OR CALL SINCE.

Just so you know, zoho is very cheap and I don’t mean their prices. There’s been many times when I’ve wasted a lot of time with them and  they wouldn’t even give me $1 off, plus the credits you accumulate when you pay for something doesn’t ever apply to anything NEW I purchase. I wasn’t able to use it when I paid for workdrive. They always come up with some excuse as to why the credits can’t be applied. Clearly it’s a scam.

They don’t even have online storage for a good price, but let’s move onto Zoho notebook.

Zoho Notebook

I asked zoho notebook to change things so I could move over to them from Evernote. They have these stupid HUGE artistic thumbnails that no one who runs a business would want and not just that, it takes up so much room, that scrolling down takes 6 times the amount of time as it does on Evernote. Plus they distract me from finding notebooks easily because they are full of graphics.

I spoke with the manager in that department in February 2023 for over an hour. He took notes and I was very happy that he said it would be fixed in March 2023. After chasing them for months and getting really angry, FINALLY in December they said it was fixed.

Instead of removing the thumbnails or giving us an option to not have them because they claim their customers want them (WHY???? Those huge thumbnails are for someone who’s a wife and just needs a To Do list or something, or maybe a graphic designer. They are NOT meant for an office application. Here’s a screenshot and once AGAIN, I can’t find the settings to switch it back to medium or large so you can see how bad it is. Their interface is horrific.

So in the end, they just made them smaller. Same issue, it takes forever to scroll to the bottom and they never had a search function for the notebooks, ONLY for the notes. How stupid can you be?

AND their scrollbar is terrible. You can’t just pull it down in one shot, it jerks up all the time, so it takes me forever to scroll to the Z’s.

I moved over to them (exported the notes and notebooks) from the new Evernote owned by a terrible company, and I literally came across over 30 bugs.

Yes you heard me & now I’m upto almost 40 bugs.

They said they would fix them.

It’s now April 2024 and while they fixed one or two bugs, they didn’t fix the rest.

I have literally spent months helping them, talking to them on the phone instead of doing my own work, and NOTHING has been accomplished other than the put in the search and put BACK the scrollbar they had REMOVED. Can you believe a site removing a scrollbar? Why the FUCK would you do that???

In March 2024 they said they would FINALLY get the desktop version done at the end of March. I have been waiting for this since February 2023 and again since December 2023.

Obviously that wasn’t done.

Then I asked Rameez what bugs they have fixed. Go into my note (I gave them access) and tell me what bugs you are going to fix.

That’s when Rameez started ignoring me.

I spoke to Sai because my large note wouldn’t save and told him I still haven’t received a response back regarding my other emails and he said Rameez would get back to me and of course NOTHING.

Because of my numerous calls to WorkDrive and I also left a message on Notebook’s number, Rameez from zoho notebook called me and didn’t even know who he was talking to even though I’ve spoken to him before many times through email and even once or twice on the phone. He said he would get back to me through email. His excuse was that there was a misunderstanding. They ALL say that.

NO EMAIL FROM RAMEEZ!!!

Zoho Creator

Onto Zoho Creator. By the manager in Zoho Notebook it was suggested I use that. He told me that I could use the free account because I can’t afford a lot. I don’t remember exactly what he said so I emailed Notebook to get the name of what it was he recommended. Of course once again, NO RESPONSE

Finally I started calling workdrive which is when I found out that it’s called Zoho Creator.

Jennifer wrote an email to them to contact me and I was ignored AGAIN.

After 3 CALLS to zoho workdrive about zoho mail, zoho notebook AND Zoho Creator, I finally got Sam Lacroix who called me even though I told WD to tell them I have to go out. He leaves a message saying you said you don’t want to pay for Zoho Creator, but I can spend a few minutes on the phone with you. I didn’t even know what the prices were, but I work for FREE fighting in this war, so I can’t afford to pay for every single application. In fact, Zoho Notebook had a special and I was going to pay for it, but I wrote Zoho notebook saying maybe that will speed things up and they said, “no, we give support to everyone.” so I never paid.

Sam Lacroix wrote me an email. I told him I was going to eat and it may be tomorrow (today) that I call him back.

Again TODAY NO WORD from zoho mail or zoho sales regarding me purchasing the email addresses, Then because I told Sam what was going on and asked for the director or main manager for the entire company, said he was going to be busy at 1 pm and he cced my account manager (how come I didn’t know I had an account manager???). His name is Sree.

No word from him EITHER.

Then I called Sam twice and left a message. I wrote him and then he had the nerve to say… “I am on the Creator sales team. You’re not interested in Creator, so I CC’d your account manager on the previous thread. He will be in touch.”

So now this guy won’t speak to me either.

This company is TERRIBLE and I hate saying that.

I’ve always recommended Zoho and given them slack because they were nice, but this is NOT NICE behavior. I’m sick of this BS.

I will be posting my reviews all over the net now.

I STILL don’t have mail in my Thunderbird, no one will call me or email me from at least 4-5 departments and they don’t know what they are doing there.

I have given them free business consultation over and over again over the last year telling them that they have to deal with customers and have their phone line open. They just argue with me that their phone line is open 24/7. That is NOT true. I’ve called almost 10 times after 5 pm and they are NEVER open and even if I leave a message sometimes I NVER get a call back or it takes days and the problem has already been addressed.

I had this moron Logras at WorkDrive argue with me and then literally tell me he’s not going to discuss it anymore LOL, can you believe that? He has no FUCKING clue what he’s talking about. I am the one fucking calling their 888 900 9646. he’s not. And this is not the first time they have said they answer the phones all the time when they don’t.

Logras was so stupid that even after I told him what the issue was with zoho mail, he started talking about zoho writer because he must have seen a ticket from them.

So I’m wrapping this up now.

I am VERY VERY disappointed with them and very stressed about all of this.

I’m sure that most of the reviews on Trust Pilot are fake because most of the people have only ever reviewed Zoho (1 review). I saw 2 other people who are furious with Zoho.

And Zoho lost lots of business they could have grabbed from everyone leaving Evernote. You can read my review about them here.

Zoho doesn’t know how to run a business properly. I’ve read terrible review about them going back years. And there’s NO ONE who overseas all of their departments, plus they don’t hire enough programmers, otherwise it wouldn’t take almost a year to make tweaks to zoho notebook.

Oh, and they add features no one cares about instead of fixing the problems people ARE complaining about.

    So Zoho Notebook can’t do ANYTHING right. They clearly have terrible programmers who coded the software, and like I think I said above somewhere, they have NO customer service department that oversees the entire company.

    They have terrible staffers who barely answer the phones, responds back to email, etc.

    Now I do have to give props to Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, Zoho WorkDrive and Zoho mail.

    Most of the time they a respond back to me in a timely manner, and most of the time they try hard to fix things quickly, but like now, Zoho Writer has a serious issue with the cursor not being able to scroll up and down the page (it gets stuck when I use the up arrow key), and it took 2-4 emails to get them to finally take is seriously.

    They duplicated the problem and THEN blamed my screenshot extension and didn’t even tell me which one.

    I assume it’s Nimbus, but if they think I’m giving up Nimbus because Zoho Writer has a HUGE bug, then they have another thing coming.

    And how did they duplicate the problem if it’s MY extension on my computer supposedly causing the problem?

    Zoho staff are often brainless with NO common sense. They are 3rd world country people after all. sigh

    I’m just shocked how many of their other customers never complain.

    Now back to Zoho Notebook

    1. Search still doesn’t work properly. When I searched on Evernote, it would find me the note I needed 1-3 notes down from the top EVERY time.

    With Zoho Notebook, they give me a list a mile long of notes that do NOT have the keyword I searched with in the title of the note. After scrolling down past 20-30 notes trying to find it, I give up.

    NONE of them have the keyword in the title of the note.

    I told them you can NOT show us every note that has that one word in the body of the note, are you kidding me???

    If you do, put them at the very end and the ones with the keyword in the note title at the top.

    Two times they said they fixed it and I have to waste my times showing them over and over again that it’s NOT FIXED. It just happened again last night.

    All I do is spend hours taking screen recordings, screenshots, emailing and having meetings with them that takes minimum an hour or longer.

    Yes I talk a lot training about the Truth, but still, I shouldn’t even have to be on the phone with them.

    AND what’s worse, they can’t just accept my screen recording, they FORCE me to sit there while they test it out on my computer, so I can’t work, and they expect me to waste MORE of my time.

    They’ve lied before saying the issues are only on my end.

    How the FUCK can that be? Doesn’t everyone get the same software???

    2. Can you believe that Ctrl end doesn’t work inside their notes?

    When I was told that was normal, I almost died. NO IT’S NOT NORMAL for anyone who knows how software works.

    Even now they FINALLY sort of got it fixed after months of me complaining. One time it works, the next time I have to click Ctrl end 2-3 times to get it to work.

    Like I said, their programmers do NOT know what they are doing.

    3. When creating a new note, they STILL haven’t fixed it so the cursor goes to the heading field first before the description/note field.

    Something that is the most COMMON SENSE and they can’t figure it out and fix it.

    4. They still haven’t fixed that they were going to remove all the duplicate notes their fucked up software did so I have to click in 2 notebooks to see which one is the right one full of content.

    5. Do you know that you can’t search within the notebooks like you can on Evernote?

    AND they refuse to give that to me because they have the global search. (So does Evernote)

    What if I DON’T know the exact keyword to search for? I need to be in that one notebook to search for a few different keywords so it concentrates ONLY on that one notebook.

    6. The person I always deal with rarely ever responds to my emails and while he’s nice, it doesn’t matter, NOTHING EVER GETS FIXED.

    Also, I just realized while typing this, that we agree they are going to fix certain things, then when he either lists the bugs they will fix in an email or tells me next tine it will be fixed, it’s either NOT listed in the email or it’s NEVER FIXED.

    I don’t know if they do that on purpose or they are brain dead. It’s a toss-up.

    Remember, I’ve been dealing with Zoho Notebook since February 2023 trying to get them to fix things and they have lied to me over and over again saying they will fix something and they don’t.

    Pretty soon it will be 2 years and almost NOTHING has been fixed and my last of what needed to be fixed (bugs, not layout) grew considerably AFTER I started using the software full time. Before I was just asking for layout changes because their GUI is terrible.

    All they care about is NOT learning from Evernote and doing things with QUALITY. They literally said to me twice, we aren’t Evernote.

    YEH NO SHIT SHERLOCK, I KNOW THAT, NOT EVEN CLOSE.

    If a person has a brain and doesn’t allow their EGO to take over, they would learn from people who know more than they do. Clearly Zoho Notebook doesn’t want to do that. They want to stay SHITTY.

  2. Wow, I can’t believe this is happening. I just got banned by zoho on Reddit for talking about them ignoring me all the time. It was my 3rd time having to post about this because they NEVER get back to me.

    Notebook was several times and we are talking weeks, not a few days.
    One time it was another department (sorry, can’t remember the product, it’s like MS Access), and the odd time Zoho mail and now it was also the affiliate department and then this guy Pratap who said he would help me every time there was a problem and he was also NOT getting back to me. So I posted again (not one day after another, there were weeks in between.

    In my post I gave credit to the products/departments that DO respond back to me, and mentioned the Zoho guy Pratap who is on their Reddit group. pp@zohocorp.com

    They don’t even respond back to the Reddit group’s messaging area. Last time I waited for 2 days after messaging them there and they never got back to me. They didn’t even know what I was talking about they are so stupid. They run a reddit group and don’t even know where the messages are that go to that group’s admins, but they SURE know how to ban customers.

    The third time I posted they removed my post, now this time they removed it AGAIN and banned me.

    I had reached out to Pratap through email because their affiliate department wasn’t responding back to me.

    He ignored that email plus my last long email to him with me bitching about HOW Zoho Creator would NOT allow me to use their service.

    Zoho Creator first cited that I can’t ask for donations which means that ZOHO controls what you can say to your list and what you can’t say to your list. That’s called CENSORSHIP, and NEVER in the history of me using newsletter or list software since around 2004, have I ever had an autoresponder company tell me what I can and can’t say to my OWN list.

    And even though I’ve NEVER asked my list for donations and it wasn’t my plan to do so, I was furious when I found out they were trying to control me.

    The idiot in sales was so low IQ, he couldn’t figure out what time zone I was in when he was supposed to call me.

    He called me at the wrong time and woke me up. They can NEVER (not just him) figure out when to call me. I tell them the time and my time zone and they ALWAYS call and wake me up. Sigh

    This Zoho Creator guy also couldn’t understand English at all and was very very hyper. A lot of East Indians are very hyper. So that got me more upset that I had just wasted my time.

    Then being the melodramatic wuss he was, said something like… “OH NOOOOOO, You are committing a serious crime (I’m being sarcastic of course, but this is how I took it) by asking your list for donations, you can’t DO THAT, no, you can’t do that.

    I hung up on him when I realized I was wasting my time and said forget them and moved on, but then I complained about this hyper guy’s behavior to Pratap and also how he didn’t understand English (they can NEVER understand sarcasm), and thought maybe Parap could get me someone else who was a SANE person. Plus I’m a good customer.

    That’s when they revisited my site and REFUSED to let me use it with no reason at all (nothing to do with the donations), just the typical BS reason that all of these evil corps use, that it violates some terms and conditions and they LIE and say they can’t tell you. That’s what I’ve been hearing since around 2023.

    I speak the TRUTH, THAT’S what I violate.

    The evils who control the ENTIRE WORLD, don’t want you to know the Truth, so they censor EVERYTHING, and they get their companies to do
    the same.

    That proves that Zoho is evil owned. I had started to suspect this, but was hoping it wasn’t true.

    Then I was also having problems with their email where I wasn’t getting some emails and vice versa and they were soooooo STUPID, that they kept demanding the other person (not me, the receiver) SOMEHOW GET THE LOG FILES AND bounce back ERROR MESSAGE FROM THE EMAIL SERVER THEY ARE ON.

    Can you believe this?

    So random people I don’t know are supposed to JUMP when Zoho mail says JUMP, and waste time to contact google workspace and their hosting company, they also wanted Amex to give them this info, etc.

    THEY ARE INSANE AND SO LOW IQ IT KILLS ME.

    NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GOING TO GET ACCESS TO THAT KIND OF INFORMATION. Nazi goolag doesn’t care about some plugin developer and one missing email, neither does gmail, AND ZOHO REALLY THINKS that HUGE AMEX is going to waste time digging into their log files for ME???

    I actually did customer support because they kept getting bounce back emails when sending me my bank statements, so they kept snail mailing them to me and I was getting upset.

    The customer service guy tried and the tech department refused to look it up and I don’t blame them. Oh and by the way, I had to change my email to a non zoho email address and it’s been working ever since.

    Even within ZOHO they didn’t get my emails. Prataq said he didn’t (unless he was lying).

    It turns out that I had the wrong email address for the affiliate department. And I didn’t just make up that email address out of THIN AIR, it was given to me or they were writing to me from that email address when I was first signing up.

    And why didn’t the department I DID send that email to tell me the email wasn’t correct and give me a new one???

    Zoho cause so MUCH DRAMA that their missing emails caused a whole fight between me and evil wordpress and the plugin developer started getting upset at zoho for daring to ask him to get the email logs. I ONCE AGAIN wasted tons of my time dealing with inept ZOHO!!!

    After I posted my complaint about zoho mail also not getting back to me, I was bullied on piece of shit reddit saying I was the problem, NOT ZOHO. WOW

    I was then dealing with zoho cliq and they transferred me to zoho mail. I wasted an hour AGAIN with mail and at the very end just as I thought they were going to fix the problem, the piece of shit had the nerve to say he wasn’t going to help me anymore because HUGE CORPORATIONS WON’T BOW DOWN TO ZOHO MAIL.

    I literally had to get someone in Zoho Cliq (nice guy so far) to talk to Prataq because he’s CLEARLY IGNORING ME. Even after he KNEW I had emailed him at least twice, he STILL wasn’t getting back to me.

    Like I said, I was on the fence about whether Zoho was evil owned, but now I can see they are.

    I wasn’t just banned from Reddit for a week, but 90 FUCKING DAYS.
    Zoho claims I violated some BS terms and conditions.

    I told everyone that you will NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT ANYTHING ANYMORE OR EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT COMPANIES, AND

    I guess I lost credits I had before because I wanted to use them for Cliq and I just found out they expire. I sort of remember this from before.

    I tried to use my credits about 3 years ago and they NEVER let me and I can’t remember the excuses that were giving to me.

    They won’t give them back to me.

    I have wasted sooooo MUCH TIME helping them by telling them what is wrong with their software or making suggestions that would make it better and this is the thanks I get. I have literally wasted at least 6 months in man hours writing up bugs, making lists, being on the phone with notebook for an hour+ at a time, emailing all departments to show them their bugs, etc.

    I use a lot of their services and pay when I can afford it.

    ZOHO IS A PIECE OF SHIT COMPANY. I DON’T RECOMMEND SIGNING UP WITH THEM UNLESS YOU ARE POOR.

    And I’m NOT the only one who has problems with their HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE and the fact that THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. When I posted my posts about what I was going through others chimed in and I’ve seen the odd other thread of people complaining.

    They have now made me their enemy for banning me and ignoring me.
    I’ve been with them since around 2022.

    Just so you know, I’m just finding out a week or two ago that India is knee deep in this WAR, at least the connection to israel connection. They are selling weapons to israhell to kill Palestinians in Gaza. And israehell is selling them weapons. No why does India need so many weapons? Do you know what India is doing to their farmers???

    I didn’t know.

    And I’ve ALWAYS stuck up for India. I even have a playlist to out how the people are treated like GARBAGE, but India is (I learned this years ago because I’m also a merchant services consultant) ripe with SCAMMERS.

    I heard that many of those online Indian tech support services are all scam BS. They actually infect your computer instead of fixing it, and of course they don’t know what they are doing.

    They scam companies using credit card processing.

    I’m not saying zoho is doing this, but I find it very interesting how they are treating me when I’ve always stuck up for what I thought were good Indians.

    I’m FURIOUS now at how they treated me.

    I warned them I would blast them all over the Internet if they crossed me. I guess they didn’t believe me and so instead of just GIVING PROPER SERVICE and just responding to me, they banned me and this was weeks AFTER they removed my last post.

    And zoho mail won’t fix their mail problems.

    You should NOT be offering a service if you can’t speak English. If you have an Indian customer, then you can speak in that language.

    You should NOT be offering a service if you can’t respond to EMAILS or fix your SOFTWARE!

    STOP WASTING PEOPLE’S TIME ZOHO!

    Their products do have issues. There’s only 3 that are ok and one that was great and has started to decline.

    They are using evil AI which will break their software (it did). It’s either that, or their developers are fucking UP because they took the death jab and are making tons of mistakes. Not that Indian developers were ever great. They lie and say they can code and they can’t.

    I can even see how notebook flows and that it’s NOT LOGICAL. Their search doesn’t even work, but the manager has been nice to me after that previous post on Reddit. I’m currently waiting for his email because he said he had some kind of business event he had to go to and would get back to me. So far no response. We’ll see this week.

    All I can tell you is that Writer worked fine until last year, and that’s when they added AI if memory serves.

    I’ll keep you posted on the drama about zoho.

  3. Well, more issues with Zoho, and this is because they do NOT know how to communicate well since they are from 3rd world countries and almost ALL 3rd world country people (no matter the country) are low IQ and terrible at communication.

    I have been dealing with Cliq for almost 2 months now.

    At first I thought I could use the free version to replace piece of shit SKYPE, but then I came to learn that the girl Jenny who initially helped me, did NOT tell me that you can’t delete messages after a week or something. WTF??? I even asked her if I could delete messages and she told me yes, but FAILED to mention this key part.

    You can only do that if you pay for the pro version.

    It turns out you also can’t edit messages after X days.

    So I was forced into getting the pro version.

    I started getting angry that I wasn’t told this information around the time that I was posting about all of the issues on evil Reddit before evil Zoho blocked me from posting.

    I was then given Zeeshan as my point of contact.

    I told him I could only afford 2 users even though I needed to use it on my toxic cell phone weapon. He knew that.

    I’m almost positive that he NEVER EVER told me that once you pay for any user (even one), you can NOT use another device with the free version. He said something, but it wasn’t that.

    So I only found this out after I paid for the 2 users. I started getting upset. They literally BLOCK YOU from using it on any device once you’ve paid.

    So then Vinesh (on the phone during screenshare ) said I should just request the refund until I speak to Zeeshan. I specifically asked about my $7+ credit I had on my account. He said yes, it should go back on your account.

    Zeeshan wasn’t in that day and when I finally did talk to him, he was clearly irked at me, and he tried to make it seem like he told me this. He said something else which did NOT make it clear that I would never be able to use my mobile with Cliq once I paid.

    Again, poor communication skills.

    THEN I also found out that I can NOT use the users I was already using.

    I don’t remember exactly why I didn’t want to use my Super Admin account when setting up Cliq and the users, but Zeeshan was on the phone with me during this entire time, and never ONCE did he tell me that once you pay, you HAVE to use your Super Admin account as one of the users. Your Super Admin is the user you use to log in with.

    He should have told me this, but he didn’t, AND Zoho should NOT be forcing us to use certain users, but that’s how they coded it and there’s no way to get around that.

    So ALL of the messages I’ve been sending back and forth for 2 months on the user I use on my desktop will be lost. I can export them, but that’s it. There’s no way to put them into the Super Admin account and unless I pay for that account as a 4th account, which I’m not prepared to do, I can’t see the messages at all.

    This pissed me off ROYALLY.

    THEN (because the story never ends with Zoho) I come to find out that my $7+ credit was NOT put back onto my account, so I had to fight with 3 different departments, and get very angry and threaten just to get it back because they refused 2-3 times.

    Zoho is a very greedy company. I noticed this before.

    They will waste my time for months or even years, and NEVER give me anything for free, like a discount or some free months.

    I recently had notebook give me a free trial because their payment system doesn’t work SMH, but that’s as MUCH as I’ve gotten from them for all of the stress and wasted time I’ve spent on them. And the manager offered it to me, I didn’t ask for it. Twice I’ve tried to pay for the pro version and twice I wasn’t able to pay.

    So now I have to wait for payments to respond back to my emails because AGAIN, they didn’t answer all of my questions, and it normally takes them 2-3 days to respond. sigh

    So I still can’t pay for Zoho Cliq.
