So here’s what happened from my point of view…
Jafar contacted me after he saw a VERY old post on a forum looking for a good merchant account.
We started e-mailing back & forth as I was vetting him.
After several days went by & all seemed fine, he gave me Adil’s name & number because my questions were too complex for him. I then attempted to speak to Adil.
We played telephone tag a couple of times, but I’m not complaining about that.
Supposedly Jafar was just a friend of Adil’s & he didn’t know all the details. Adil was doing Jafar a favor by giving him a job.
In fact, Jafar had given me misinformation that Adil sorted out. Fine, no problem I was still very patient & understanding up until this point.
Things started to become a problem when Adil said he sent me details in writing & I didn’t receive any e-mail.
Around this time Jafar followed up via e-mail only once, & when I wrote him back saying I haven’t received anything, I got no response back. This from a guy who had e-mailed me 3 times per day prior to that.
Finally I get on the phone with Adil a second time & we talk for almost an hour because he didn’t remember a lot of what had been said the first time. This shows me he has poor skills at keeping track of what is going on. Not to mention that he gave me no reason for why I never received the e-mail with the details.
After talking for a while, it became clear that Adil was very good at selling me on his company.
All seemed fine & I was really this close to signing up with them, but I had a few more questions Adil said he had to look into. All of a sudden he put me on speaker & had some other guy named Thomas come in on the conversation.
At that point I just happened to mention that I was going to be moving my company over to Magento. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a shopping cart. Thomas knew what that was, Adil did not. Supposedly Thomas was the tech guy around there.
Then out of the blue Thomas starts saying he doesn’t know if Magento will work with their gateway. I’m like, “I never said I was moving to your gateway.” Once Adil started telling me what the gateway’s fees were, I thought maybe I will move, but nothing had been set in stone.
I asked for everything Adil & I had discussed (fees, our referral structure, etc.) in writing. This time Adil e-mails Thomas & ccs me & asks Thomas to send me a proposal.
Instead of getting a proposal I get this…
“Michelle,
It appears as though our gateway, NMI, is not supported by Magento any longer. If you happen to choose another shopping cart suite, I would be happy to check into our compatibility and re-evaluate our ability to partner with you.

Now I was PISSED. NOWHERE in any of my conversations with either Jafar OR Adil did anyone SAY that I would have to be on a certain shopping cart or a certain internet gateway just to get their merchant account.
I wrote a very upset e-mail to Adil & also called him & was told he was away for a week on business.
Then I see that Adil picks up the e-mail & I wait for him to call me.
Nothing.
Then I call his cell phone & he says he just got off a plane & that maybe his assistant opened the e-mail because he didn’t. I told him I was upset about the insinuation that this was all contingent on me using THEIR gateway.
He didn’t know what was going on, said he’d speak to Thomas.
I spoke to Adil on 03-22-10
As of today 04-21-10, NOTHING, not from Adil, not from Jafar, NOT FROM Thomas.
In fact, last Saturday someone calls me early in the morning & I was like, who is calling so early on a Saturday morning.
Turns out it was Jafar & he didn’t leave a message. I hate it when people call & don’t leave messages.
I probably wouldn’t have gotten upset about that had all this other nonsense not taken place, but it had & that’s why I’m posting this, because I don’t like it when it’s clear companies are disorganized, only do HEAVY sales pitches, but can’t provide substance & give POOR customer service or pre-sales support. Those are the worst types of companies.
I had just wasted TONS of my time, was happy in the beginning that I was going to get a better merchant account only to feel like I had been strung along, been mismanaged & that NO ONE over there at Premier Interactive Solutions knows what’s going on or cares about how much time they waste of others.
Jafar started e-mailing me on 03-09-10, so that’s 2 weeks of my precious time wasted had I just been told by either him or Adil from the onset that they don’t set anyone up unless they use their internet gateway.
