FileOpen Review

This is my FileOpen review that was on another site of mine. The very first site I ever owned actually.

It’s been many years since I first posted it, and now I’m posting it on this site.

I’ve long changed to other systems since FileOpen. This was the first PDF protection software I ever used.

So I purchased Sanford Bingham’s Personal Publisher from FileOpen around mid 2002. This was to protect my business kit that I was selling from being passed around since it was in ebook format.

At first his product worked fine until I started having problems. Then he wouldn’t return my e-mails or phone calls. Sometimes it would take a week before he would respond.

Since then I encountered a few more problems, but every time he e-mails me once, he stops communicating with me after that first e-mail.

I have posted to various message boards looking for other similar programs and after posting my frustrations, a few people started e-mailing me with the same issues. There is little to no customer service or tech support.

07/21/04 – Update… Sanford is getting a little better in providing me with support, but I still have to hold my breath. Right now I’m trying to get him to send me the instruction manual on how to set up File Open because I’m reformatting my hard drive & it’s been too long for me to remember. I’m still waiting and it’s been 3 days.
